Return and Replacement Policy
At Crescent Lighting, we strive to provide high-quality products and services. Our return and replacement policy covers issues arising from manufacturing defects. Please read the following terms to understand our warranty, return, and replacement procedures.
1. Warranty Coverage
All products sold by Crescent Opto Pvt. Ltd. under the General Range come with the following warranty periods, starting from the date of manufacturing, **against manufacturing defects only:
– 1 Year Warranty Products: LED Strip, LED Rope, Mercury.
– 2 Year Warranty Products: All other categories not specified above.
2. Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover the following issues:
– Failure due to high voltage, surge variation, wrong connection, electrical or electromechanical stress.
– Physical damage caused by improper installation, testing, handling, or maintenance.
– Damage due to natural calamities (fire, earthquake), human-made calamities (riots), or abnormal conditions such as installation in high-temperature areas, vibrating machinery, mines, or moisture-affected zones.
– Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage.
– Repairs conducted by unofficial repair centers.
– Indoor products used in outdoor environments, leading to damage from moisture, dust, or other elements.
– Defects in LED Strips due to incorrect SMPS connection or direct electrical supply.
– Defects caused by not cutting LED Strips and LED Ropes at the marked cut points.
– Damage to the outer layer of LED Rope due to heat dispersion if the entire bundle is switched on continuously for display purposes.
3. Replacement and Repair Methods
Based on the product condition and type, Crescent Lighting will either repair or replace the defective product after examination. Below are the specific scenarios:
– Product with External Driver: If only the driver is defective, RD/DD is required to send only the driver for replacement to avoid damage during transit of the entire product.
– Product with External SPD: Some outdoor products come with external Surge Protection Devices (SPD). If the light stops working, only the SPD may be defective. In such cases, simply cutting the SPD and reconnecting the light may resolve the issue, so no replacement is needed.
– Product with Integral Driver: For products with integral drivers, we will replace the defective product with a new one.
– Product with No Defects: If our examination reveals no defects, the product will be repacked in a polythene bag and returned to the RD/DD.
– Products Above 100W: Any products rated above 100W will be repaired, not replaced.
4. Return Process
– For any return requests, RD/DD must ensure the product is in sellable condition as per our shipping policy.
– Returns must be pre-approved by contacting our customer service at customercare@crescentlighting.in or 9512400080.
– The return shipping cost must be pre-paid by RD/DD, and proper discussions with our logistics department can be held to reduce return freight, if feasible.
